FAQ - Decals

What are your decals made of?
Our decals are made of industry standard high performance professional signwriting vinyl. Basically this means the vinyl is designed to stick on boats, cars, trucks and signage. This stuff really sticks. It is much higher tack than your usual craft sticker. 

What can I stick it on?
We recommend our decals be stuck to gloss or semi gloss surfaces like glass, plastic, painted wood, laminate, metal etc.

What should I not stick it on?
As our decals are very high tack, do not stick these to your interior walls, doors or anything where you plan to remove them again. The decals will take wall paper and paint with them on removal. Apply to these surfaces at your own risk.
Our decals are also not designed for fabric application, they will not stay on clothing or fabrics.

Can I put my decals through the dishwasher?
Yes. This will shorten the life of your decal as dishwashers reach high temperatures and decals are removed from surfaces using heat. You can still put them through but just beware that they will start to deteriorate. 


FAQ-Personalised Clothing

What if my child has 2 initials in their name?
That is totally fine and we can accommodate that. For no extra charge we can do 2 initials. Just type out exactly how you would like to see it in our provided initial/number info box on the listing. Depending on the length of these initials the print can be a little smaller than the standard single initial to allow for the extra width of 2 letters.

Can I return Personalised Clothing?
No. The listing has measurements for your convenience and as the clothing is printed especially for your order it can not be returned. If the clothing is in someway faulty then by all means email us via our Contact page and we can sort something with you.

My item isn't what I ordered
If this is a fault with Tinker Tailor Kids a replacement will be made. If a replacement can not be made through lack of stock a replacement will be given. When an item has a fault due to incorrect information given by the customer (incorrect product ordered, spelling mistake in name given, wrong size ordered etc), a replacement product will need to be ordered at the cost of the customer.


When ordering from us you can expect delivery in 1 to 5 working days unless delivery is delayed by unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. We do our very best to offer quick and reliable delivery via courier. Once your order has been sent we send you a shipping confirmation email which contains your tracking number (New Zealand residents only). These sometimes go to your junk email folder so please check there also. You can track your order via this email. If you see anything that doesnt seem right with the tracking info, or would like to know more about your parcels where-abouts please ring the courier provider. If your order is confirmed lost by the courier provider we will go through the claims process.

Rural delivery will take longer and is dependant on the local delivery services in your area. These delivery times are out of our control.

Australian and worldwide customers. We ship your orders via NZ Post. This is an untracked service. If you would like your item tracked please email us for a quote and we can arrange a tracked service for you.

Garment doesn't fit you? Returns of a product for a refund or exchange must be made within 7 days of receipt of the product, and must be in a new condition.

All prices are shown in New Zealand dollars (NZ$).

You may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, when ordering from our store, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.

LAYBUY is a service which is totally independent. Your payment obligations are to LAYBUY through the account that you have set up with them.
